Rolls
They are produced by the method said “beater addition”.
Their composition is based on high tenacity fibers, fillers and binders in heat-resistant latex.
A typology apart is represented by “GUAMOTOR”: joints seam-based cellulose fibers impregnated with gelatine and glycerine.
These joints are especially used in the automotive and powertrain for “soft” gaskets (water and oil pumps, thermostat, carburetor and other parts of the chassis) or, reinforced by metal inserts, for sandwich gaskets suitable for the sealing of cylinder heads and manifolds of engines.
The joints in the beater addition have sealing characteristics generally lower than those of the compressed gaskets.
However, the possibility of cutting gaskets by continuous process, exploiting the greater length of the rolls, and the relative cheapness of cost, make them suitable for light duty applications.
